The conductor investing technigues

A recent orchestra performance I attended opened my mind not only to beautiful music of the great musicians Brahams, Beethoven, Mozart and others, while opening my mind to the potential of investing as a conductor. As the musicians warmed up on stage, sounds emanated from their instruments not of dischord but of harmony in preparation for the music that was to come. The conductor had established the importance of preparation to creating a beautiful concert. The instruments, violins, brass, drum, harp all had to be tuned, the musicians warmed up. How often do we as investors do all of the preparation needed to create profits when we make an investment? Do we practice our technigues once we learn what works best? Before investing, beginning the concert, do we know our technigues work. The musicians know their technigues, they know what makes a great concert. They are ready when the conductor walks on stage. The conductor turns to the audience, all attention is now drawn to what he / she is about to say. The conductor reviews what the orchestra will be playing, gives insight to the composers and the evening's entertainment. Are we able to tell someone what we are going to do and are we able to do it? The conductor turns to the orchestra, the music flows from the instruments into the room. Our ears and our eyes are treated to a wonderful sensoral experience, each musician guided by the conductors hands, arm movements the musicians follow knowing when to stop, when to again bring their notes into the musical composition being played. Do we have a stop loss established, a profit point where we close out our position and take our profits. The orchestra's performance builds on each number that is played with a finale that brings the audience to their feet. They have made the evening a profitable event for all of us who were there to watch and enjoy and for themselves.

This is our goal as investors. To find the harmony with our decision to invest and realize the profits instead of the losses that are easily achieved with a disharmony of our decisions if we haven't planned, practiced and perfomed to perfection.

The conductor normally comes out for a on corp performance at this point. The investor once profits are realized moves to a new investment and a new performance

I like your metaphor of the orchestra investor. It is original and rings true. Interesting hub!
